With fewer crowds, stunning scenery, and off-season pricing on many activities, it’s the perfect time to be here. If you’re visiting soon, here are five upcoming fall events in Jackson, WY, courtesy of the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce.

Winged Wednesday at the Teton Raptor Center
Always a favorite activity of ours (we’ve never actually been, but it does sound cool), this FREE event takes a deep dive into a specific avian topic. After the presentation, you’ll get an opportunity for a hands-on learning experience at the Teton Raptor Center’s new Learning Lab. Topics include avian rehabilitation, topics in backyard conservation, migration, raptor ID, and insights from the TRC’s research lab. This series is lecture-style and is geared toward adults. This month’s topic is bird evolution and anatomy. This event is free but does require reservations, which can be made here.
The 27th Annual Manhattan Film Festival
Direct from the Chamber of Commerce site: “MANHATTAN SHORT is a celebration of short films and was established in 1998 on the streets of New York City. Today, it has transformed into a worldwide phenomenon. MANHATTAN SHORT screens 9 compelling shorts in 500+ cinemas simultaneously during the week of September 26 to October 6, 2024. MANHATTAN SHORT doesn’t have judges award the short films. Instead, they allow the audience (i.e. You) to be the judge. The audience votes for their choice of Best Film and Best Actor. Then on the last day of the festival, the short films with the most votes are announced as the winners. Manhattan Short is for film lovers who want to experience unique and riveting stories from all around the world.” If this doesn’t sell you, I don’t know what will! Tickets are currently $18 and can be purchased by visiting the Jackson Hole Center for the Arts website.
