The BEST Hot Cocoa Mix
There is nothing better than yummy, hot, drinkable chocolate in a cup. It is delicious and warms your body from your head to your toes.
Here’s the dilemma though: do you call it “hot chocolate” or do you call it “hot cocoa”? It’s kind of like the “soda” verses “pop” debate. I’m curious to know which one you prefer. Personally, I call it “cocoa”…and I also say “pop.” Maybe I’m just a short and sweet type of gal ;). I want to know what you call that chocolate goodness in a cup…share it in a comment below:).
Back to the topic at hand. Patsy Bagley Brunson, my grandmother, is an avid cocoa drinker. She has a cup of cocoa every day – all year around! I think she knows her stuff when it comes to hot chocolate. She created this hot cocoa mix recipe years ago, and it is a family favorite. This cocoa helped the Bagley family stay warm on those freezing cold days growing up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Today is your lucky day because we are going to share this top secret Bagley Family cocoa recipe with you! Here it is:
Bagley Family Hot Chocolate Mix
-1 lb container of Nestle Nesquik
-26 ounces of instant nonfat dry milk
-2 cups of powdered sugar
-35 ounce of coffee creamer
-a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg
Mix and pour into a fun container
(We usually do a 50/50 mix to water ratio – we like it rich!)
