Jackson is basically two different towns: one in the summer, and one in the winter. And with Summer Jackson now handing over the reins to Winter Jackson, you're probably wondering, "Well, what am I supposed to do till next summer?" We're glad you asked. Along with info on all the best skiing in Jackson (you do know that Jackson has great skiing, right?) we've also compiled a calendar of some of the most exciting Jackson winter events from now till the next summer season. Ski Calendar
Jackson Hole
- Opens for winter sports November 28. Also hosts a variety of events for skiers and non-skiers alike, including film showings and Oktoberfest (see below). Learn what it has to offer here.
Snow King
- Ski/snowboard season begins on or around December 1. Non-skiers can also enjoy attractions like the scenic gondola, fine dining, and an observatory. Find out more here.
Grand Targhee

Indigenous Arts and Cultural Demonstration Program Speaker Series
