1-Star Reviews of Our Favorite Jackson Hole Things

The Elk Refuge always gets great reviews.

We get it, everyone has an off day—even the greats. It can be exhausting to put up your best side seven days a week, 365 days a year. And there's no pleasing everyone. Just ask poor Old Faithful, who's been chugging for eons along despite the exhausting weight of expectations. Sometimes the best way to get over a negative review is to laugh it off. (We asked Old Faithful, and it agreed.) So here are some of our favorite negative reviews of our favorite Jackson things:

The Elk Refuge

"Beautiful Expansive land. we drove way up in the mountains and looked down on this great conservation land." (1 star)

Paget5

A one-star review for a “beautiful, expansive” place? Paget5 must be a nightmare to buy Christmas gifts for.

Old Faithful

"Well, they should rename this geyser unfaithful and weak because not once did it go off at the predicted time. When we finally did see it, we weren't as impressed. The water spouting out was weak and short in duration. There are other geysers throughout the park that were more majestic but you have to hit them at the right times. Definitely would encourage a guided tour, you get more out of your visit to the park." (1 star)

Sheekar

"Unfaithful and weak." Good name suggestion, but we don't think the marketing department's going to go for that one.

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

"Kinda trash ngl, big rock boohoo. Oh look its a water spewing out of a cliff1!!!! Isn’t that cooool??? 🤓" (1 star)

Johnny

Thank you for your review, Johnny. Somewhere, your middle school English teacher just woke up in a cold sweat.

Antler Arch

"We just don't like this! No added value for us. Perhaps other tourists think differently about this!" (1 star)

Marienne en Wilbert W

To be fair, the antler arch didn't feel like you brought any "added value" either.

String Lake

"Don't get me wrong....this is a beautiful lake....but this is NOT where you want to be if you can't handle Mosquitos (hoards of them everywhere) and crowds. I would guess this is where tourists go who don't have the energy to go on more of the longer hikes in the area? We had no problem at all with crowds or mosquitoes at the Laurance Rockerfeller Preserve and all the hiking there....but we could not even enjoy our picnic lunch here by String Lake due to the mosquitoes. We got out of here as fast as we could." (1 star)

FedFlyGirl

We ran this by the mosquitoes. They said your blood was “a little touristy” and gave it 1/5 stars.
