Christmas Shopping in Jackson Hole

Last week I went to Jackson with my mom and we did some Christmas shopping. I don't usually enjoy Christmas shopping because I don't like big parking lots, crowds, and lines. But I actually had fun this time! In downtown Jackson there aren't big parking lots and right now the summer tourists are gone. We parked one time and walked from one unique shop to another. When we were done we had our bags of goodies and it felt like the old fashioned kind of Christmas shopping like in the song Silver Bells:  " . . .as the shoppers rush home with their treasures."
Here's some of the stores we went to:

Shirt Off My Back

I've been looking for some warm clothes for my baby and we found the cutest hoodie at this store. [caption id="attachment_1421" align="aligncenter" width="493"]m My cute mom and my little deer.[/caption]

Belle Cose

This store is higher end home decor, so it was just window shopping for me. But it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. [caption id="attachment_1416" align="aligncenter" width="320"] These TVs are cool. You turn the "on" knob and little trains and people move around inside the TV.[/caption]

Yippi I-O Candy

This is a fun candy store with delicious fudge and vintage wall decor. One beautiful piece of wisdom I have learned from my mom is that you can eat as much fudge as you want as long as you skip dinner. So that's what we did. I had salted caramel and she had walnut. Gifts of the Earth

I haven't been in this store since I was little. Back then, I remember a cat that would roam around the store. Now 30 years later, I was suprised to see yet again, a cat roaming around the store. I asked the manager about it and she said they have always had a cat, although the store has lived through three different ones. Each year I get a Christmas ornament to represent the year. This year we had some fun camping trips so I picked this one.

Beaver Creek Hats and Leather

In the back of this store are some amazing rocking chairs made by a local artist. One of my fantasies is having a lodge in the mountains with a big rock fireplace, a crackling fire, an elk on mounted on the wall, and furniture like this. These chairs cost as much as a small car, but if was I was a rich old lady, I'd totally get one! They are so comfortable! Wyoming Outfitters

This is the last store we shopped at and my personal favorite, because of the kids section. It has unique, clever, high quality baby clothes and toys. My mom got my baby a cute hat and food tray. These are things my baby needed anyway but these are better quality and way cuter than any I'd get at Walmart or Target.
